A leading engineering and consulting firm is seeking a Project Manager specializing in water and wastewater infrastructure. The role involves managing design and delivery of treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, and wastewater collection systems. The position requires technical expertise, project management skills, and team leadership.
Lead projects from initial planning through design, specifications, and bid packages.
Provide technical support for water distribution, water/wastewater treatment, and sewer collection system projects.
Develop and maintain client relationships while identifying new project opportunities.
Ensure technical accuracy, compliance with standard engineering practices, and proper documentation of designs and reports.
Evaluate alternatives, resolve technical issues, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Support construction activities, including bid evaluations, plan clarifications, shop drawing reviews, progress reporting, and change order assessments.
Recommend and document design modifications based on project requirements.
Independently assess engineering problems, develop solutions, and execute work safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
Monitor project financials, including backlog, utilization, and invoicing.
Mentor and manage junior technical staff.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resource Engineering.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater engineering projects.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Georgia license or ability to obtain within 6 months).
Experience in technical project execution and developing scopes of work for proposals.
Strong communication, report writing, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and best practices for water and wastewater systems.
Willingness to travel periodically (approximately 15% or more).
