Position Title: Maintenance Technician- Night Shift
Overview:
This role involves diagnosing and repairing a wide range of automated manufacturing equipment, such as grinders, lathes, mills, washers, assembly machinery, powder coat lines, and other industrial systems. The technician will handle troubleshooting for electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components to ensure reliable operation.
Interpret and work from electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
Diagnose and resolve issues with three-phase power systems and electronic/electrical circuits.
Troubleshoot and perform minor programming on PLC systems and CNC machinery.
Service AC/DC motors, servo and stepper systems, including their control devices such as encoders and pulse feedback units.
Operate and perform basic troubleshooting on networked computer systems used for machine control.
Maintain and repair mechanical power transmission systems, including gearboxes and bearings.
Understand and work with linear motion systems like ball screws, rails, and bearings.
Perform metal fabrication tasks such as cutting, welding, and grinding.
Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic circuits and make modifications as needed.
Use metric and imperial measurements to assess pressure, distance, etc.
Employ precision measurement instruments and diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes).
Assess and replace machine components when original parts are unavailable.
Work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed, based on operational requirements.
Strong grasp of relay logic and schematic interpretation.
Effective problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read technical documentation and present findings clearly.
Solid understanding of shop math, including fractions, decimals, and trigonometry.
Comfortable using measurement and calibration tools.
Team-oriented mindset with strong communication and time management skills.
Self-directed with the ability to work independently.
Basic awareness of workplace safety, quality standards, and environmental practices.
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience in industrial maintenance or a similar manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
Ability to walk several miles per shift.
Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Capacity to visually detect fine details and color variations during inspections.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Willingness to work long shifts (up to 12 hours), including off-hours when required.
