Field Technician

Overview:
We’re seeking an entry-level Field Technician to support data collection and documentation efforts for telecommunications and utility projects. This role involves working outdoors to capture measurements, photographs, and detailed notes that will be used to update records and assist in design planning. You’ll work closely with experienced team members and contribute to accurate project documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and record field data using drawings, digital devices, GPS, cameras, or other tools provided.

• Identify and document existing equipment, infrastructure, and site details with minimal supervision.

• Take precise measurements and translate them into clear, usable documentation for design and engineering teams.

• Create accurate sketches or “as-built” drawings to reflect real field conditions.

• Learn and apply technology such as laser measuring devices, digital cameras, data loggers, and other survey tools.

• Maintain consistency and accuracy in all records so they can be easily understood by office staff.

• Support senior technicians and engineers during site visits as needed.

• Meet productivity and quality targets within set timelines.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Ability to work outdoors and travel to local job sites.

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn technical tools.

• Local candidates are strongly preferred.
