Manufacturing Engineer


Position Overview

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical support for continuous improvement initiatives and the execution of new or modified production programs. The role focuses on process optimization, cost reduction, and enhancing manufacturing efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct trials to reduce costs, scrap, cycle time, and operational downtime.

  • Support maintenance and production teams during breakdowns, startups, and equipment setups.

  • Develop and recommend effective setup and maintenance procedures.

  • Investigate and implement corrective actions for non-conforming product flow issues.

  • Participate in planning reviews for new programs and manufacturing initiatives.

  • Execute process development trials to achieve initial production capabilities.

  • Support continuous improvement and Kaizen projects across manufacturing operations.

  • Work overtime, including weekends, as needed to meet production and project deadlines.

  • Perform additional duties as required to achieve departmental objectives.


Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency with CNC controls, tooling geometry, machine tool processes, and fixture design or automated, semi-automated, and manual assembly equipment and cell design.

  • Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical circuits and controls.

  • Excellent organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks under pressure.

  • Knowledge of quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems.

  • PLC and robot programming experience preferred.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in metal removal or close-tolerance assembly manufacturing.

  • Equivalent experience may be considered for highly qualified candidates.


Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Frequent walking (3–7 miles per day) and standing for long periods.

  • Repetitive motions while walking or standing.

  • Visual inspection for fine details, including color detection.

  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, with or without accommodation.

  • Other duties as assigned.
