Job Description

The Lincoln Group has partnered with a client in the automotive industry in search of a Body Shop Helper to join their team! The Body Shop Helper will be responsible for assisting in the repair and restoration of damaged vehicles.  This position will report to the Body Shop Manager and will involve various tasks to support the efficient operation of the body shop.

Type of Hire: Temp-to-Hire
Title: Body Shop Helper
Location: Oxnard, CA
Work Schedule: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm, Mon - Fri
Compensation: $18/hr

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

• Assist in preparing vehicles for repair work by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas not to be painted.
• Aid technicians in tasks, such as removing damaged parts, sanding surfaces, applying body filler, and installing replacement parts.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the body shop area.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries in the workplace.
• Receive, unpack, and organize parts and materials needed for repairs.
• Assist with the mixing and preparation of paint materials.  Help in painting tasks such as priming, base coating, and clear coating under supervision.
• Assist in inspecting completed repairs to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers, ensuring their satisfaction with the repair process.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma.
• Basic knowledge of automotive repair environment preferred.
• Prior experience in an automotive repair environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies in automotive repair.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
