Leap Recruitment Partners is actively seeking a highly analytical and tech-savvy Operations Data & Reporting Analyst on behalf of our valued client, a leading national provider of independent medical assessments and clinical evaluation services.

The Role In this newly optimized role, you will serve as the central hub for our client’s operational metrics. Reporting directly to the operations leadership team, you will be tasked with gathering, synthesizing, and interpreting cross-departmental data to generate actionable, decision-ready insights. Our client partners with major insurers and legal organizations, meaning adherence to strict service level agreements (SLAs) and performance benchmarks is critical. You will play a pivotal role in cross-referencing internal system metrics against external vendor reports, ensuring proactive identification of trends, discrepancies, and operational gaps. If you are passionate about data integrity, quickly adapt to new software platforms, and thrive on building transparent reporting structures, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of all operational reporting functions, including tracking referral volumes, case turnaround times, service level adherence, and specific client-driven performance indicators.

  • Conduct thorough reconciliations between internal performance metrics and the monthly or quarterly vendor reports provided by external stakeholders; investigate and articulate any variances during performance reviews.

  • Analyze complex datasets to identify operational anomalies or emerging trends, presenting clear, strategic recommendations to the leadership team.

  • Design, optimize, and maintain sophisticated Excel-based tracking tools and dynamic dashboards.

  • Collaborate with technical vendors and utilize industry-specific case management and claims workflow platforms to streamline data extraction and enhance reporting capabilities.

  • Generate consistent daily, weekly, and monthly operational summaries detailing capacity, volume, and completion rates.

  • Compile polished, highly accurate data presentations for external stakeholder and vendor-management meetings.

  • Act as the internal subject matter expert for all proprietary workflow systems, ensuring top-tier data quality and extraction methods.

  • Assist leadership with ad hoc operational and financial analysis, including margin, cost, and capacity evaluations.

  • Provide statistical evidence and performance data to support new business proposals and competitive bids.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of professional experience in a data analytics, business analytics, or operational reporting capacity.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory (e.g., dynamic dashboards, complex lookups, pivot tables, and multi-source data integration).

  • Exceptional technological fluency, with a proven ability to master new software platforms and understand complex data flows.

  • A naturally analytical mindset with the curiosity and diligence to investigate mismatched data and uncover root causes.

  • Excellent communication skills, featuring the ability to translate complex data narratives for non-technical audiences, both written and verbally.

  • Uncompromising attention to detail, ensuring flawless reporting prior to internal or external distribution.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent reporting deadlines within a fast-paced corporate environment.

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Statistics, Finance, Health Informatics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.

  • Preferred Assets: Experience utilizing Power BI or similar visualization tools; background working with CRM or case management software; familiarity with disability management, independent medical evaluations, or the auto insurance sector; and a keen interest in implementing workflow automations.

What Success Looks Like in Your First 90 Days

  • You have successfully audited and inventoried all existing tracking tools, presenting a comprehensive plan for process improvement.

  • All weekly and monthly reporting cycles are functioning seamlessly and delivered strictly on schedule.

  • You have independently executed at least one major data reconciliation project, successfully explaining any internal-versus-external variances.

  • You have modernized or significantly improved the accuracy and speed of at least one core reporting tool.

  • You have established yourself as a reliable, go-to resource for precise and timely operational data across the organization.
