In this high-impact position, you will be the bridge between complex client needs and the insurance market. Focusing on the onboarding of new business, you will evaluate risks, design sophisticated insurance programs, and provide expert advisory services for a diverse portfolio ranging from small-to-mid-size businesses to large, multi-line international accounts. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment alongside producers and underwriters to secure the best possible coverage for your clients.
Strategic Risk Assessment: Analyze prospect requirements and existing policies to identify coverage gaps and recommend comprehensive insurance structures.
New Client Onboarding: Manage the technical integration of new accounts, ensuring a seamless transition and a high standard of professional service from day one.
Market Negotiation: Prepare high-quality marketing submissions and negotiate with insurance partners to secure competitive terms for mid-to-large accounts (ranging from $50k to $1M+ in premium).
Account Development: Drive growth within the portfolio by identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling specialized products.
Proposal Design: Utilize creativity and technical expertise to develop compelling insurance proposals, binders, and client-facing documentation.
Licensing: An active RIBO license in good standing is mandatory.
Professional Experience: A minimum of three years of dedicated experience within a commercial insurance brokerage environment.
Technical Breadth: Demonstrated expertise in placing all classes of insurance, including multi-line, US, and international risks.
Specialized Knowledge: Familiarity with specialty lines such as Cyber, D&O, and E&O is highly preferred.
Education & Credentials: Post-secondary education and industry designations (CAIB, CIP, CRM) are considered strong assets.
Business Acumen: A sales-driven mindset paired with exceptional customer service and negotiation skills.
Analytical Precision: Strong ability to deconstruct complex risks and organize multiple placements simultaneously.
Collaborative Spirit: A dedicated team player with a robust work ethic and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Office and industry-standard platforms (EPIC, Applied Systems/TAM, Applied Rater, and PolicyWorks).
