Summary

We are currently seeking a Commercial Account Manager to join a fantastic Insurance Brokerage in the GTA. As an integral member of their Commercial Lines team, you will be responsible for the daily administration of an assigned book of business. This role requires managing the full client lifecycle—including onboarding, renewals, and policy adjustments—while maintaining proactive communication. Success in this position relies on a blend of collaborative teamwork, personal initiative, and the consistent exercise of discretion in all professional matters.

Essential Job Functions

  • Orchestrate the renewal process, including the preparation of proposals and binders.

  • Generate documentation, complete applications, and issue insurance certificates.

  • Provide insurance counsel and recommend coverage options to clients.

  • Execute bond issuance and manage the surety process.

  • Oversee third-party financed premiums.

  • Administer accounts receivable for agency bill policies.

  • Initiate and monitor claim submissions.

  • Engage with underwriters for policy negotiations.

  • Maintain a solid understanding of underwriting guidelines.

  • Deliver superior client service at all times.

  • Drive revenue growth through cross-selling.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency in managing deadlines and prioritizing tasks.

  • Mastery of the English language.

  • Refined communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Familiarity with organizational policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Valid RIBO License.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Commercial Account Manager.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SigXP, and ComXP.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities.

  • Proven interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

  • Substantial knowledge of policy language and coverage.

  • CAIB/CIP or CRM designation is considered an asset.
