The Role

As the Applications, Data & BI Developer, you will be responsible for the evolution and maintenance of the organization’s internal software ecosystem, data architecture, and analytical tools. Reporting to the Business Systems Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring that data pipelines and business applications are robust, scalable, and perfectly aligned with the needs of financial and manufacturing operations.

You will utilize a modern tech stack—including .NET MVC, SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and Python—to transform raw requirements into high-performance technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Software Evolution & Application Design

• Engineer and refine .NET MVC applications, focusing on the development of robust models, controllers, and services.

• Introduce new functionality, UI enhancements, and complex business logic to meet evolving operational demands.

• Perform code refactoring to maximize system performance and long-term maintainability.

• Adhere to rigorous security frameworks and internal architectural standards.

Data Engineering & Strategic Analytics

• Architect and manage SQL Server database objects, including complex stored procedures, views, and indexing strategies.

• Build and optimize Power BI semantic models and interactive dashboards to drive executive decision-making.

• Ensure data integrity through proactive validation and the resolution of reporting discrepancies.

• Create structured data interfaces for seamless communication with internal and external stakeholders.

System Integration & Workflow Automation

• Orchestrate sophisticated data movement using Azure Data Factory (ADF) for ingestion and transformation.

• Maintain and expand Python-based automation scripts to eliminate manual workflows.

• Manage system-to-system integrations via APIs and structured data mapping.

• Monitor and troubleshoot automated triggers (SQL Agent, ADF, Power Automate) to ensure 24/7 reliability.

Collaboration & Change Management

• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business challenges into technical specifications.

• Execute comprehensive unit and integration testing while supporting stakeholders through User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Maintain detailed documentation for data models, technical workflows, and system modifications.

Qualifications

• Technical Expertise: Proven experience with the .NET framework (specifically MVC) and proficiency in C#.

• Database Mastery: Advanced SQL Server skills, including performance tuning and complex query writing.

• Modern Data Stack: Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and Python for data automation.

• BI Visualization: High proficiency in Power BI development and data modeling.

• Analytical Mindset: Ability to troubleshoot complex system integrations and data quality issues in a fast-paced environment.

• Communication: Strong ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical business users.

Compensation

• Base Salary: $100,000 – $115,000 annually.

• Bonus: Eligible for additional variable bonus potential based on performance.
