Account Executive - Professional & Financial Services Leap Recruitment Partners is pleased to represent a premier, national independent insurance brokerage in their search for a dynamic Account Executive to join their specialized Professional & Financial Services (P&FS) practice.

Our client is a leader in providing bespoke risk management solutions tailored to complex industry sectors. This is a high-impact role designed for a proactive professional who excels at cultivating new corporate relationships while strategically expanding an existing client portfolio.

The Role

As an Account Executive, you will operate within a fast-paced, high-volume environment, serving as a technical expert and trusted advisor for professional and financial insurance lines. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of client engagement—from initial prospecting and market strategy development to the final binding of comprehensive coverage. This position requires a blend of sharp business acumen, technical insurance proficiency, and a commitment to continuous professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

● Business Development: Create and execute targeted marketing strategies to acquire new business and meet revenue milestones.
● Portfolio Management: Oversee a diverse book of business, ensuring clients maintain optimal coverage through diligent quoting, binding, and identified cross-selling opportunities.
● Relationship Excellence: Cultivate sophisticated, service-oriented partnerships with clients and maintain strong rapport with insurers to secure competitive pricing and efficient claims handling.
● Strategic Planning: Formulate annual business plans that outline sales targets, growth strategies, and potential market challenges.
● Mentorship & Collaboration: Provide ongoing guidance to support staff and collaborate with colleagues across specialty areas to ensure comprehensive client service.
● Operational Diligence: Manage administrative duties including file maintenance, payment processing, and detailed activity reporting within the broker management system.
● Industry Leadership: Stay at the forefront of industry trends by attending seminars and networking events, representing the firm with the highest level of professionalism.

Qualifications & Skills

● Experience: A minimum of 5 years in the commercial insurance sector.
● Licensing: Must hold a General Insurance Agent Level 2 license (or provincial equivalent with the ability to obtain BC licensing).
● Education: A Post-Secondary Degree and professional designations (CAIB, CIP, CRM) are highly valued.
● Technical Proficiency: Prior experience with the EPIC broker management system is an asset; proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools is essential.
● Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to handle objections and solve problems collaboratively.
● Work Ethic: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines under pressure while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
