The Site Foreman will support the Site Superintendent in overseeing on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves managing teams of skilled workers from trade partners, coordinating subcontractors, enforcing safety regulations, and liaising with the project management team to ensure smooth and efficient site operations. This individual is a hands-on leader with effective communication and problem-solving skills, who excels in both technical construction knowledge and team management.
Trade Communication: Maintain daily communication with all trades on-site.
Workforce Coordination: Manage site coordination of the workforce, including sub-trades, suppliers, and field workers.
Safety Leadership: Conduct site safety orientations and weekly safety meetings with sub-trades.
Compliance: Implement and enforce OHS requirements and the Company Health and Safety Program.
Documentation: Responsible for field documentation such as daily logs, daily safety inspections, and other required reporting.
Logistics: Coordinate the movement of materials in and out of the site.
Project Oversight: Supervise smaller projects and tasks as assigned.
Field Support: Perform manual labor as required to ensure project progression.
Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and safely as part of daily duties.
Mobility: Ability to walk long distances over uneven terrain, navigating areas with potential obstacles and varying surfaces.
Experience: Proven track record working on projects in the light industrial and commercial sectors.
Safety Certifications: Leadership for Safety Excellence is required; NCSO designation is strongly preferred.
Trade Skills: Journeyman Carpenter designation preferred.
Equipment & Safety Tickets: Fall protection, AWP, and forklift tickets/experience are required.
First Aid: Standard First Aid training is preferred.
Adaptability: A collaborative and flexible approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
Mentorship: Ability to provide leadership and technical guidance to other team members.
Process Improvement: Constant drive to improve company processes and the quality of the finished product.
Problem Solving: Use of creativity to provide effective on-site solutions.
Culture: Ability to work within a team while upholding Company values with passion and positivity.
Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday
