Multi line Claims Adjuster.

The successful candidate will work on both personal & commercial lines property claims. This role will focus on the Lower Mainland, BC region with travel involved, so should be accessible to commute
Title: Multi Line Loss Claims Adjuster
Location: Lower Mainland, BC

Responsibilities:
● Evaluate and manage personal lines and commercial claims including large loss from initial report to final settlement
● Conduct thorough investigations, including site inspections and statements with relevant parties.
● Complete scope of damage
● Determine coverage based on policy terms.
● Collaborate with contractors, engineers and other experts to gather necessary documentation and evidence
● Negotiate settlements with policy holders ensuring fair and equitable resolutions
● Maintain detailed and accurate records of all claims
● Maintain proactivity and timely communication with all pertain parties to the claim
● Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
● Provide expert advice and support to policyholders throughout the claims process.
● Ensure all correspondence is completed in a timely and effective manner including the creation of Critical Path Letters, Proof of Losses, and Reservation of Rights letters etc.
● Responsible for data accuracy and issuing payments to vendors, insureds and expert
● Responsible for recognizing questionable claims, subrogation and risk opportunities
● Review case law to determine liability
Qualifications
● Adjusting license
● CIP designation a/o enrolment in CIP courses.
● Knowledge of the property insurance industry – multi line exposures.
● Field adjustment experience, an asset.
● Thorough knowledge of a variety of property and casualty coverage wordings
● Superior communication and negotiation skills
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
