The Designer will be responsible for creating complex structural building systems for critical infrastructure projects.
Modeling & Drafting: Prepare 3D Revit structural models and 2D drawings/details of structural building systems.
Technical Definition: Create definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies in the form of 3D models, 2D cross-sections, section details, and tolerance stack-ups to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, and inspection.
Strategic Execution: Utilize in-depth knowledge of structural discipline and analytical thinking to execute departmental policies and strategies.
Interdisciplinary Coordination: Maintain knowledge of structural drafting and design best practices, including managing interfaces with mechanical piping, HVAC, and electrical systems.
BIM Management: Work with the BIM coordinator to manage and issue models in Autodesk Construction Cloud while enforcing configuration management plans.
Technical Support: Support the Civil Structural Team in 3D model reviews using Navisworks and Revit.
Decision Making: Use technical experience and multiple internal/external sources to arrive at informed design decisions.
