Job Description

Our client is a leading provider of independent medical examinations (IMEs) supporting auto insurers, life & health carriers, government entities, and legal stakeholders across Ontario.

They are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist with strong exposure to motor vehicle accident (MVA)–related files, insurer-driven assessments, and SABS-regulated reporting. This role focuses on ensuring medical-legal reports are accurate, compliant, defensible, and client-ready prior to release.

What You Will Do

  • Review and quality-assure IME and insurer examinations related to MVA / auto claims, life & health, and government referrals

  • Ensure reports meet SABS requirements, insurer guidelines, and internal QA standards

  • Validate medical rationale, functional findings, causation opinions, and conclusions for accuracy and consistency

  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or compliance issues and liaise with physicians and assessors to resolve them

  • Ensure reports are objective, defensible, and supported by evidence

  • Manage multiple files while meeting strict turnaround timelines

What You Bring

  • Prior Quality Assurance experience within IMEs, medical-legal, or insurer-focused environments

  • Strong working knowledge of SABS and Ontario auto / MVA frameworks

  • Experience working on the insurer side (auto, life & health, disability, or government-related files)

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently in a structured, deadline-driven environment

  • Professional judgment when addressing quality issues with medical professionals

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to psychiatric or multidisciplinary IMEs

  • Experience reviewing high-volume MVA-related assessments

  • Familiarity with insurer audit standards and reporting expectations
