Leap Recruitment Partners is proud to represent a premier, specialized Commercial Insurance Brokerage in their search for a dedicated Commercial Insurance Broker to join their Association Programs division. Our client is a prominent leader in the Canadian insurance landscape, recognized for their commitment to operational precision, ethical standards, and highly niche commercial programs.
In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary technical and service anchor for a sophisticated portfolio of association members. This is an ideal position for a detail-oriented professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and prefers the complexities of account management and retention over high-pressure sales prospecting.
Subject Matter Expertise: Become a go-to specialist in managing high-value association programs and navigating intricate policy frameworks.
Focus on Service: Dedicate your energy to client satisfaction and technical excellence without the distraction of new business quotas.
Professional Growth: Strengthen your skills in program compliance and high-volume account strategy within a collaborative, professional environment.
Operational Impact: Act as the vital link between clients and carrier partners, ensuring peace of mind through accurate and timely insurance solutions.
Portfolio Stewardship: Manage the day-to-day needs of an assigned book of commercial association accounts, providing rapid, same-day responses to inquiries regarding coverage, claims status, and policy updates.
Comprehensive Processing: Oversee the full lifecycle of policy documentation, including the issuance of binders, quotes, complex endorsements, and certificates of insurance. Ensure all data is accurately maintained within internal and carrier portals.
Financial & Compliance Oversight: Ensure rigorous adherence to premium collection protocols, managing various payment methods and verifying that all applicable taxes and fees are secured prior to binding coverage.
Risk Evaluation: Analyze client exposures and loss histories to recommend appropriate coverage enhancements. Perform deep-dive reviews to ensure insurance products remain aligned with the evolving needs of the association members.
Strategic Collaboration: Work in tandem with Producers and internal teams to execute renewal strategies and marketing efforts, consistently following standardized operating procedures.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience within the commercial insurance sector is essential.
Licensing: Must hold a valid R.I.B.O. license (or a comparable provincial broker license).
Education: A University degree is highly preferred. Candidates who have completed or are actively pursuing industry designations such as C.I.P. or C.A.I.B. will be given top priority.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Broker Management Systems—specifically Applied EPIC—along with professional fluency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
Professional Traits: A process-driven self-starter with exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail. You must possess the communication skills necessary to translate complex technical jargon into clear, actionable advice for clients.
By joining our client's team, you are entering a professional ecosystem that prizes discipline, precision, and mutual respect. You will have the opportunity to solidify your reputation as a trusted advisor while making a tangible impact on the success of a high-performing brokerage.
