As a Product Lead in our client's specialized High Net Worth (HNW) division, you’ll be at the forefront of underwriting excellence, leading the charge in servicing and growing a profitable portfolio of complex, high-value risks. You’ll apply deep technical expertise to evaluate and price risks, ensure underwriting quality, and drive innovation in how we serve our most discerning clients.
This role is more than underwriting—it’s about leadership, strategy, and brand building. You’ll mentor and coach a team of underwriters, ensuring consistency in risk selection and technical skill development. You’ll also collaborate with corporate underwriting and business development teams to shape product strategies and support national growth objectives for our client base.
As a key ambassador for the HNW brand, you will represent the organization at industry events, building strong broker relationships and identifying new opportunities to provide tailored solutions for the client.
Portfolio Management: Underwrite and price complex HNW risks with precision, ensuring long-term profitability and alignment with client risk appetite.
Leadership & Coaching: Mentor and coach a team of underwriters to elevate technical skills, ensuring consistency in client risk selection across the division.
Strategic Collaboration: Partner with corporate underwriting and business development teams to shape product strategies that meet evolving client needs.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong broker relationships through regular, meaningful engagement to better serve the end client.
Brand Ambassadorship: Represent the company brand at industry events and identify new business opportunities within the HNW client market.
Innovation: Drive continuous improvement in how the organization serves high-value clients and manages complex risk profiles.
Experience: 10+ years of experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry.
Leadership: Proven experience mentoring or leading underwriting teams focused on specialized client segments.
Professional Designations: CIP and/or FCIP designation (or currently in progress).
Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of underwriting philosophy, pricing models, and risk evaluation for the high-net-worth client.
Communication: Exceptional negotiation and influence skills; bilingualism in English and French is a strong asset (required for roles in Quebec).
