Job Description

Our client, a Toronto-based law firm with a dynamic and growing litigation practice.They are currently seeking a Junior Associate Lawyer (0–3 years’ call) to join their team. This role offers hands-on exposure to a broad range of litigation files, mentorship from experienced counsel, and meaningful responsibility early in your career.

Practice Areas

The successful candidate will support matters across several practice areas, including:

• Personal Injury Litigation (plaintiff and defence)

  • Motor vehicle accidents

  • Slip and fall / occupiers’ liability matters

• Construction Litigation

• Cyber and Technology-Related Disputes

• Other general civil litigation matters

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions materials, and legal correspondence

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda

• Assist with discoveries, mediations, and trials

• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, insurers, and experts

• Manage files under the supervision of senior counsel

• Attend court (in person and virtual) as required

Qualifications

• 0–3 years’ call to the Ontario Bar

• LLB or JD from a Canadian university

• Strong foundation in civil litigation

• Excellent research, drafting, and analytical skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Professional judgment and eagerness to learn

• Ability to manage multiple files in a deadline-driven environment
