Marketing Specialist - Contract Role

Duration: 1-year contract, with a potential start in mid to late April.

Location: Markham, ON with a hybrid work model requiring 2-3 days per week in the local office after an initial training period.

Job Description:

This role supports marketing initiatives for personal property and auto insurance products, focusing on delivering effective communication and resources to distribution partners. Ideal candidates will possess a blend of marketing and project management experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and projects, including product launches, updates, and promotional initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver marketing materials tailored for distribution partners, emphasizing clear messaging and educational content to drive sales.
  • Support the creation of digital and social media strategies to enhance awareness, consideration, and lead generation.
  • Produce a variety of marketing collateral, such as brochures, sales sheets, newsletters, emails, and product guides.
  • Maintain and update online platforms, email programs, and partner portals.
  • Collaborate with various business units to define, develop, and implement marketing tactics and deliverables.
  • Coordinate translation processes to ensure language accuracy and compliance.
  • Work with digital teams to optimize digital platforms and touchpoints for campaign effectiveness.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance by coordinating with legal teams.
  • Manage project budgets and invoicing.

Qualifications:

  • College Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or project management.
  • Experience in insurance or financial services is advantageous but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and teamwork skills.
