Location:

  • Toronto, Ontario
  • Address: 405 The West Mall
  • On-site: Minimum 3 days per week

Work Schedule:

  • Target Start Date: April (Specific date TBD)
  • Duration: 40 business days (Objective Completion)

Experience:

  • 4-5 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing and administering Quest KACE SMA and Service Desk.

Objective:

  • To comprehensively document the current Quest KACE environment, including all configurations, processes, and procedures, within 40 business days.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Quest KACE Documentation Specialist to thoroughly document our Quest KACE Systems Management Appliance (SMA) and Service Desk environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT service management and experience creating detailed technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Documentation:
    • Document the current state of Quest KACE SMA and Service Desk configurations.
    • Create detailed documentation for hardware and software inventories managed by KACE.
    • Develop comprehensive documentation for existing workflows, automated processes, and procedures.
    • Record backup and recovery procedures for the KACE environment.
    • Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
    • Generate and document reports related to system performance and usage.
  • Collaboration & Training:
    • Collaborate with IT teams to gather information and validate content.
    • Provide training materials and user guides for end-users and IT staff.
    • Conduct periodic reviews and updates of documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years of experience with Quest KACE Systems Management Appliance (SMA) and Service Desk.
  • Knowledge & Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) principles and best practices.
    • Proficiency in creating detailed technical documentation.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills (Assets):

  • Certification in Quest KACE or related ITSM tools.
  • Experience with other IT management and monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell or VBScript.
