Position Overview:

As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for defining the target architecture on Azure, guiding internal resources through the migration process, and ensuring a smooth transition with minimal operational impact. Your expertise in SAP integration, Azure cloud technologies, and project management will be crucial in successfully migrating approximately 250 existing interfaces.

Responsibilities:

• Architectural Design:
  • Analyze the current SAP Business Connector environment and propose a comprehensive target architecture on Azure, leveraging services like Logic Apps, Service Bus, and Event Grid.
  • Ensure the target architecture aligns with best practices and corporate standards.
• Migration Planning & Guidance:
  • Guide and mentor internal resources in developing a detailed migration plan.
  • Define clear migration mandates for the 250 existing interfaces.
• Best Practices & Compliance:
  • Establish and document best practices for SAP integration on Azure.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate security and compliance standards.
• Budget & Timeline Management:
  • Develop a detailed budget estimate for the migration project.
  • Create a comprehensive project timeline, outlining key milestones and deliverables.
• Transition & Operational Continuity:
  • Ensure a seamless transition to the Azure integration platform, minimizing disruption to business operations.
• Leadership & Communication:
  • Be a technical and functional leader, providing clear guidance on technology and methodological choices.
  • Synthesize technical and business issues to facilitate informed decision-making by stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective communication and buy-in from IT teams and business stakeholders.
  • Foster collaboration between SAP experts, cloud architects, and developers.
  • Anticipate and mitigate potential technical, budgetary, and operational risks.
  • Develop a realistic roadmap aligned with organizational constraints.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience in migrating SAP integrations to the Azure integration platform.
• Azure Expertise:
  • Proficiency in relevant Azure technologies, including Logic Apps, API Management, Azure Functions, Service Bus, and Event Grid.
• SAP Integration Knowledge:
  • In-depth understanding of SAP integrations and associated protocols (IDoc, BAPI, RFC, OData, etc.).
  • Familiarity with the SAP S/4 platform.
• Project Management & Budgeting:
  • Experience in cost estimation and IT project management.
• Collaboration & Communication:
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment and collaborate with technical and business teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
