Position Overview: We are recruiting a full-time Business Development Manager, located in London, Ontario, to lead and expand broker relationships throughout the province. A competitive compensation package, including benefits, will be offered. Travel within Ontario is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance and solidify Broker Partnerships: Manage, develop, and expand relationships with existing brokerage partners.
- Generate New Business: Identify and establish new broker relationships to broaden our distribution network in Ontario.
- Industry Participation: Organize and participate in industry events to strengthen relationships and brand presence.
- Strategic Planning: Define and achieve company objectives and growth targets.
- Market Analysis: Remain current on industry trends, competitive intelligence, and market developments.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate with the Managing Director, Tina Jonmaire, and team members to support business initiatives.
- Brand Representation: Embody and promote our corporate culture, values, and brand promise.
- Miscellaneous Duties: Perform additional duties as required to support company success.
Qualifications:
- Professional experience in the insurance sector (Commercial Broker experience is advantageous).
- Demonstrated organizational, time management, and planning capabilities.
- Proficient presentation skills with the ability to lead roundtable discussions.
- Proven goal-oriented approach and capacity for independent work.
- Superior written and verbal communication proficiencies.
- Excellent customer service expertise.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office and general computer applications.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining service standards.
- Collaborative approach with adaptability and a positive response to change.
- Successful completion of a criminal record check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry-related education or designations such as CAIB, CIP, or other relevant certifications.
