Position: Technical Service Representative (TSR)

Department: Personal Lines + Commercial Lines 

Shift Type: In-office / Mon - Fri / 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

SUMMARY

As a member of the Admin Lines team, the Technical Service Representative is responsible for assisting the Personal Lines and Commercial lines departments in the day-to-day servicing of clients in an administrative capacity.  The role requires the individual to have a strong ability to work in a team environment, as well as the ability to display initiative and independent judgment in the execution of job functions.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting Account Managers with the renewal and documentation process; preparing certificates of insurance and assembling policy documents as requested. 
  • Process new business, renewals, and endorsement for the various insurance companies via their online portals.
  • Prepare and process all invoices accordingly for policy document transactions.  
  • Prepare first draft customer communication (hard or soft copy) for renewals, new business and endorsements for Personal Account Managers for review and distribution.
  • Enter and update SIG for new, renewal and endorsements.
  • Provide backup to Administrative Assistant/Reception for ordering of MVR and Autoplus reports.
  • Assist Account Managers with quoting on Compu-Quote.
  • Professionally providing outstanding client service at all times to both internal and external customers. 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Adept at managing multiple deadlines and setting priorities.
  • Strong command of the English language and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate great communication skills to provide information in a courteous and comprehensible fashion (oral and written).
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Insurance industry or related administrative experience.
  • Microsoft, Word, Excel, Outlook, SigXP, ComXP.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • A clear understanding of policy wording/coverages.
  • RIBO License (an asset but not required).
  • CAIB/CIP or CRM would be an asset.
