This role is fully remote. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct field activities, including gathering evidence, taking statements, preparing diagrams, and taking photographs.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and timely reports for clients in their preferred format.
  • Communicate with clients as necessary to ensure assignments are completed accurately and their needs are met.
  • Analyze and evaluate special damages such as property estimates, personal property inventories, medical bills, lost wage statements, and medical reports.
  • Prepare estimates, inventories, and summaries of special damages as required.
  • Negotiate and settle claims effectively.
  • Evaluate insurance coverage issues on specific claims and provide recommendations to clients.
  • Participate in marketing activities as needed.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by the Branch Manager.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in property and casualty claims adjusting.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem analysis, planning, and organizational skills.

Location and Equipment

  • Environment: Both indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Equipment: Ability to drive a car, operate a digital camera or smartphone for taking photos, use a calculator, and operate a digital recorder.

Contact with Others

  • Internal: Interaction with the Branch Manager, other adjusters, and clerical staff.
  • External: Interaction with clients, policyholders, claimants, tradespeople, and attorneys.
