Duties and Responsibilities
- Investigate, estimate, evaluate, negotiate, and report on accident claims, both in-office and in the field
- Assess physical damage to powertrains, trailers, equipment, and cargo
- Conduct investigations related to theft, fraud, subrogation, liability, and personal injury
- Address environmental issues such as fuel spills and transport-related pollutants
- Prepare timely, clear, and concise reports for clients in their preferred format
- Maintain communication with clients to ensure accurate and satisfactory completion of assignments
- Negotiate and settle claims effectively
- Analyze insurance coverage issues on specific claims and provide recommendations to clients
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Branch Manager
Minimum Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in transportation adjustment
- Claims adjuster license or CIP certification
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in problem analysis, planning, and organizational skills
Location and Equipment
- Remote work with field investigations as required
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive a car
- Use of a digital camera or smartphone for photos, a calculator, and a digital recorder
