Position Summary
As a Senior Claims Adjuster, you will investigate and evaluate various personal and commercial insurance claims, assess damages, and negotiate settlements on behalf of insurance companies or self-insured individuals.

Training, Knowledge, and Experience Required
  • CIP Certified or working towards completion
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in claims settlement.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
  • Gather factual information from policyholders, witnesses, and third parties with tact and diligence, adhering to our clients' standards for quality and customer service.
  • Investigate the circumstances to determine the cause and responsibility for losses, and provide well-supported recommendations to clients.
  • Assess the extent of damages in line with client standards and negotiate fair settlements for all involved parties.
  • Engage in business development by regularly meeting with existing clients.
  • Complete assigned tasks in accordance with established work standards, policies, and procedures.
Skills Required
  • Experience with property losses and/or civil liability.

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of business and personal insurance related to property damage (home and auto) is beneficial.
  • Post-secondary education in an insurance-related field and a commitment to obtaining a CIP Certification.
  • Ability to conduct telephone surveys, evaluate, negotiate, and settle claims from policyholders and third parties in commercial insurance.
  • Proficiency in maintaining detailed and accurate records of activities, transactions, and reserves.
  • Advanced IT skills, including proficiency with Office 365 and Windows 10.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong team spirit and dedication to quality and customer service.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
