Job Description

Our client is the largest general insurer and has its customers across the UK, Ireland, and Canada. They are currently looking for Licensed Insurance Advisors to join their team. Come take the next step in your career in insurance.

Shift: Rotating shifts during the hours of 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday to Friday and have flexibility to work some Saturdays from 8AM-5PM.

Location: Markham, ON- Hybrid role (3 days a week onsite)

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

Our clients are seeking sales oriented and customer-focused individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Insurance Advisor is an underwriting professional licensed to sell personal insurance directly to consumers nationally and to service all their insurance related needs. The candidate must be OTL Licensed. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understanding customer insurance needs and providing insurance solutions
  • Quote and Sell Insurance Home and Auto policies
  • Assist new customers with their Home and Auto insurance needs
  • Service existing customers by updating their policies no meet their changing needs and provide new products as required
  • Drive strong customer retention by providing a world class customer experience
  • Underwrite new business, policy endorsements and renewals by obtaining all necessary information from the customer relevant to pricing and risk analysis
  • Stay up to date on underwriting and regulatory guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College Diploma or University Degree
  • Sales and customer service experience (mandatory)
  • OTL licensed or RIBO licensed (mandatory)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer focused and ability to match products to customers needs
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritize work
  • Strong computer skills ability to learn new software applications
  • Insurance sales/service underwriting experience an asset
  • Actively working towards CIP or FCIP designation an asset
