Job Description

Shift: Monday-Friday, 9AM – 5PM (Tentatively)
Location: On-Site for training then hybrid 
Role: Permanent

Responsibilities

  • Grow a commercial book of business
  • Identify, prospect, and meet with potential clients to assess business needs
  • Cultivate new and existing relationships, utilizing the CRM system
  • Help clients learn about different risk exposures & coverage needs, advising them
    on relevant insurance solutions
  • Gather client information to build clear, concise, & descriptive market submissions/application
  • Negotiate and secure competitive insurance terms for prospects and existing clients
  • Prepare, and present insurance proposals
  • Harness the power of broker management system, and provide feedback for system improvement along the way
  • Represent the client professionally in the marketplace and build insurer relationships


Qualifications

  • Post secondary education
  • RIBO or CAIB License 
  • 2-3 years of insurance sales experience
  • Detail oriented
  • Self Starter/Relentless work ethic
  • Team player, enjoying a fast paced environment
  • Proven history of sales, networking and ability to close
  • Metrics driven and enjoy the pressures of meeting quotas and driving results
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong communication skills to effectively present insurance options to potential clients 
  • Valid driver's license and access to vehicle
  • Advanced skills in MS Office products such a Word, excel, and Power Point
