Job Description

Power Platform Administrator – (Permanent Position)

Our client is looking to grow their team and is hiring for a Power Platform Administrator to join the Information Technology department. This position  is primarily responsible for the administration, configuration and maintenance of Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and Copilot Studio.

Shift: Monday-Friday – 9 AM – 5 PM

Hybrid

Location: Downtown Toronto

Responsibilities: 

  • Administering and managing the Microsoft Power Platform
  • Configuring and maintaining environments, environment security, on-premise data gateways and data-loss-prevention policies within the Power Platform
  • Monitoring the performance and health of Power Platform environments and solutions, troubleshooting issues, performing root-cause analysis and investigating platform-related issues with Microsoft
  • Implementing and enforcing Power Platform governance policies, best practices and security standards
  • Managing user roles, permissions and licenses for Power Platform applications
  • Installing, upgrading, configuring and managing the Power Platform Center of Excellence Toolkit and augmenting the CoE Starter Kit with updated policies for environment creation, requirements for premium connectors, administrative notifications, etc.
  • Setting up alerts and notifications for critical events and system anomalies
  • Setting up, building and creating deployment pipelines using DevOps CI/CD best practices for Power Platform deployments
  • Performing monthly, quarterly and yearly housekeeping activities to clean up environments and orphaned objects inside Power Platform
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for the environments and solutions
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders and developers to troubleshoot issues
  • Staying abreast of the latest features, updates and enhancements in the Power Platform and provide recommendations for improvements and optimizations
  • Working closely with developers and Power Platform users to provide guidance on best practices and educate and empower them to leverage the Power Platform effectively

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information management, software engineering or equivalent is required
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a Power Platform administrator or similar role is required
  • Strong proficiency in administering and configuring the Microsoft Power Platform
  • In-depth knowledge of Power Platform security, environment management and data-loss prevention
  • Experience in designing and developing Power Apps solutions to meet business requirements
  • Proficiency in creating and managing Power Automate workflows/automating business processes
  • Proficiency in deploying Power BI dashboards and managing data gateways
  • Solid troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose and resolve issues within the Power Platform environment
  • Experience with integrating Power Platform solutions with other systems and applications
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as Power Platform Administrator Associate or equivalent, are preferred
