Our client is currently recruiting for a Senior Trucking Claims Adjuster to join their team in Ontario, Canada. With a commitment to excellent customer service, they are dedicated to ensuring the smooth operation of their prompt resolution of any claims that may arise in the field. This is a remote position, with the requirement to work in the field as well. 

Location: Remote, Ontario - Travel within Ontario is required

Shift: Monday to Friday

Summary: Full time, Permanent.

As a Senior Trucking Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for: 

• Handling trucking claims from beginning to end.
• Ensure efficient and fair resolutions for all parties involved. 
• Conduct thorough investigations surrounding each claim, gather relevant information and assess liability.
• Evaluate claim coverage and determine the extent of damages.
• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers.
• Maintain thorough documentation of each claim filed, correspondences, investigations and settlement negotiations .

Qualification: 

• +10 years of functional  technical experience in an insurance environment.
• Must have experience managing trucking, transportation and/or cargo claims.
• Experience handling liability, auto property damage, and/or bodily injury claims is an asset. 
• Ontario’s Independent Adjuster License and CIP designation, or actively pursuing them, is mandatory.
• Must hold Ontario Probationary Adjusting License.
• Post-secondary education in an insurance related field.
• Ability to conduct telephone investigations, evaluate, negotiate and settle first and third party commercial lines claims .
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Travel within Ontario is required, with a valid G license.
