Job Description

Our client is a leading home, auto and motorcycle insurance provider here in Canada and they are looking for a Technical Service Representative to come join their team in Mississauga, ON! This role is fully remote and training is on site for 1 month.

Role Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Location: Mississauga, ON (Remote)
Training: 4-5 Weeks on site at Mississauga, ON after which it is Remote

SUMMARY OF ROLE: 

You will be responsible for supporting and assisting Producers, Management and the team with a consistent high level of service in processing and preparing renewals, endorsements, cancellations, certificates of insurance, bonds, invoices etc.


RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 • Data entry/processing and documentation of customer files and client base with up to date information, claim details and other information as required
• Preparing letters, memos, emails and other documents including various administrative work including but not limited to scanning, faxing, copying and filing
• Providing excellent customer service via telephone, online, written communication and in person with in office visits as required and within authority limits
• Work within underwriting rules and workflow processes as established by our office
• Accounting support such as take payments, update billing and payment information and other related details as required
• Other related duties as assigned 


QUALIFICATIONS: 

• RIBO License preferred or desire to achieve within one year of employment
• Post- secondary school education
• Insurance experience with personal lines ( Home and Auto) is ideal but willing to train the right candidate
• Customer Service Focus ( 1 -2 years previous experience in a customer service role) • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organization
• Able to multi-task and follow-up on uncompleted tasks in a timely manner; good time management
• Proficient in MS Office primarily Outlook, Word and Excel
• Ability to work in a fast paced and electronic environment; flexible, resilient, and resourceful
• Reliable, positive attitude, goal oriented, cooperative team player
• Committed to professional development to enhance skills & abilities
• Quick learner with initiative and a desire to have a career in the insurance industry.
