Job Description

If you're a graphic designer ready to grow your career and take on a new creative challenge, we have an opportunity for you. We are seeking a Corporate Graphic Designer who can bring fresh visual ideas while creating marketing materials that promote our products, services, and corporate brand.

This position is based at our headquarters in Springfield, IL and is an in-office position.

The person we seek will join our team of marketing professionals who deliver compelling and effective B2B and B2C marketing programs. In this role, you will design a wide range of materials that support sales initiatives, internal and external corporate communications, and event marketing. Projects will include marketing collateral such as brochures, case studies, white papers, and advertisements; internal communications including our monthly company newsletter; proposal templates; presentation templates and customer-ready slides; social media graphics; corporate stationery; digital and printed holiday greetings; corporate signage; custom icons and badges; and branded materials for trade shows, career fairs, and corporate events. Your design work will be a blend of large, complex projects alongside numerous smaller ones, each needing different levels of design, support, and delivery timescales.

We value designers who can balance creativity with business objectives. Taking time to understand our lines of business, target audiences, and market positioning will help you create design solutions that are not only visually strong, but also purposeful and effective.

Your efforts will help ensure that our marketing materials are creative, polished, and effective. Although we value your ideas and creativity, you won’t be working in isolation. You will collaborate with marketing coordinators; writers; social media and digital marketing coordinators; and business leaders to translate concepts into strong visual solutions that support business goals.

Applicant Requirements

  •     1-3 years of internship or professional graphic design experience, at least three years’ collegiate coursework in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on design experience.
  •     Design portfolio demonstrating strong visual design, layout, and typography skills across multiple mediums.
  •     Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, is required.
  •     Experience with the commercial printing processes.
  •     Familiarity with use of Canva and its design review process is preferred.
  •     Effective organizational and file management skills, including attention to version control and brand asset consistency, are required.
  •     Experience designing professional presentations in PowerPoint would make you a stronger candidate.
  •     Experience supporting marketing initiatives in a corporate, agency, or B2B environment will make you a stronger candidate.
  •     Experience creating short video design for social media posts, etc. would make you a stronger candidate.

Success Keys

Your success will be measured by the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of the materials you produce, as well as feedback from the groups you support. You will need to deliver thoughtful, well-designed work while managing multiple projects and deadlines.

A successful Corporate Graphic Designer will:

  •     Apply brand standards consistently.
  •     Deliver clear, engaging, professional materials.
  •     Balance creativity with business needs.
  •     Collaborate effectively and contribute ideas during discussions.
  •     Work independently and as part of a team.
  •     Manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
  •     Stay current on design trends and remain adaptable.
