z/OS Systems Programmer requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in planning datacenter naming conventions and dataset naming standards in clustered (Parallel Sysplex) configurations (high)
- 10+ years of experience with multiple z/OS customers, including maintaining current software releases and migrating to newer versions/releases of z/OS-based software (high)
- 10+ years of experience with planning and implementation of z/OS, IBM and non-IBM middleware/utilities using SystemPacs and SMP/E (z/OSMF experience a plus) (high)
- 5+ years of experience with installation and upgrade of IBM transaction processors, database servers and message processing (preferably CICS, Db2, MQ) (medium)
- Experience with use of z/OS Communications Server and exploitation of SNA and TCP/IP communication by installed subsystems such as JES2, CICS, Db2, MQ, WAS (medium)
- Experience in understanding policy-based storage allocations using DFSMS and recommending changes to existing Access Control Statements (ACS) for improvements in storage management automation (medium)
- Experience with zFS (z File System) and Unix Systems Services (USS) planning, implementation and use (medium)
- Experience communicating with non-technical customers and project managers to provide relevant information in a way that is meaningful to the listener (medium)
- Experience helping customers plan and implement a highly resilient infrastructure around IBM zSystems.

The base range for this contract position is $X70.00- $85.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
