LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Project Manager / Product Owner for a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with one of our long-standing clients in Central Illinois. This role blends traditional project leadership with a strong product ownership mindset, ensuring clarity of requirements, alignment of priorities, and successful delivery of technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead projects from initiation through delivery, managing scope, schedules, risks, and communication
• Serve as Product Owner—prioritize the backlog, define requirements, and translate business needs into actionable work
• Partner with stakeholders to understand goals, issues, and future needs
• Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and product roadmaps
• Collaborate with development, architecture, QA, and cross-functional teams
• Support Agile-leaning delivery practices focused on outcomes and value
• Facilitate alignment across teams and maintain clear, consistent communication
• Ensure delivered solutions meet business objectives and add measurable value
• Maintain documentation and reporting for visibility and governance

Required Experience:

• 5+ years as a Project Manager, Product Owner, or hybrid PM/PO role
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in Agile-leaning environments
• Strong requirements gathering, backlog management, and documentation skills
• Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
• Strong communication, organization, and analytical abilities
• Comfortable balancing project execution with product vision and prioritization
• Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)
• Must have permanent authorization to work in the United States
• Corp-to-corp or third-party candidates will not be considered

Stronger Candidates Will Have:

• Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or product-driven environments
• Background collaborating closely with architects and technical teams
• Experience working across both Agile and traditional project approaches
• Business analysis or product management experience

The base range for this contract position is $43.00 - $62.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
