Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced RPG Programmer to support and maintain a suite of legacy applications on the AS400 platform. This role is focused on the care and upkeep of existing code, resolving issues, implementing fixes, and improving performance where possible. It is not a new development role, but rather one suited for someone who is comfortable working within established systems and enjoys problem-solving in mature environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and support existing RPG applications (primarily RPG IV / ILE) on the AS400 platform
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the current codebase
• Analyze and improve application performance and reliability
• Collaborate with business users to identify issues and implement practical solutions
• Document processes, fixes, and enhancements for future reference
• Provide general AS400 application support and contribute to small-scale improvements as needed

Qualifications:

• Strong experience with RPG IV / ILE and AS400 (iSeries) systems
• Proven ability to analyze and support legacy code
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working independently within a well-established environment
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the US without sponsorship

The base range for this contract position is $60.00 - $90.00 per hour, depending on experience; pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
