  • Delivery Strategy and Project Planning: Define and execute comprehensive project delivery strategies, implementation plans, resource allocations, budgets, schedules, key milestones, and governance structures to support effective project execution.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination: Collaborate with IDPH leadership, public health program stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and external partners to align priorities, manage expectations, facilitate decision-making, and resolve project challenges.
  • Cross-Functional Team Management: Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, manage complex dependencies, establish clear roles and accountability, and ensure timely completion of project activities and deliverables.
  • Risk, Issue, and Dependency Management: Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate project risks, issues, constraints, and dependencies while implementing appropriate resolution strategies and escalation procedures.
  • Project Governance and Executive Reporting: Establish and maintain project governance processes, monitor project performance, track schedules and milestones, and provide accurate status reports, executive updates, and project performance metrics to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Meeting Facilitation and Implementation Oversight: Facilitate project meetings, stakeholder discussions, progress reviews, and governance sessions while overseeing implementation activities, monitoring deliverable quality, and ensuring project readiness.
  • Scope, Schedule, and Budget Management: Manage project scope, schedules, resources, and budgets throughout the project lifecycle, proactively address deviations, and ensure successful delivery within established timelines, financial parameters, and quality expectations.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and overseeing complex project dependencies.
  • Strong expertise in project lifecycle management, scope control, schedule tracking, risk assessment, issue resolution, and budget oversight.
  • Experience developing executive-level status reports, project performance updates, and governance documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate project meetings, manage competing priorities, resolve challenges, and maintain alignment across business and technical teams.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects within established scope, schedule, and budget expectations across the full project lifecycle. Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent recognized project management credential.
  • Direct professional experience supporting public health programs, public health system implementations, or technology initiatives within public health organizations.
  • Educational background in Public Health, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline.
