Sr. Application Engineer

Our client is dedicated to delivering best-in-class high-speed machines and services to their clients worldwide. They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Applications Engineer to join their team and provide technical expertise support the sales team in the design, development, testing, troubleshooting and installation of specified equipment. The ideal candidate will have related experience in custom machinery, excellent communication abilities, and project leadership aptitude.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a subject matter expert for project teams.
• Drive and manage the technological evaluation stage of the sales process.
• Mentor the Applications Engineering team.
• Provide solutions for technical issues to ensure customer satisfaction.

Duties:

• Review RFQs and URS documentation.
• Create conceptual layout drawings.
• Collaborate with engineering for design solutions.
• Perform sizing calculations and optimization analysis.
• Lead technical proposal evaluations.
• Manage pre-sale project details.
• Maintain accurate records in company databases.
• Qualify new suppliers and attend trade shows.
• Support sales team with technical expertise.
• Document site details and recommend process improvements.
• Develop and mentor new hires.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 year degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4-6 years of applications experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience in secondary packing, robotics, automation, and industrial machine design.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, AutoCAD, and PDM.

Other:

• Adhere to company SOPs.
• Attend trade shows.
• Travel as needed (5-10% annually).
• Business hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (flexible).
