Apply here and we'll work with you for your next career opportunity.As a Electrical Controls Engineer you will design, develop, and supervise all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery. You may be responsible for the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software. Qualified candidates are proficient in planning, creating schematic and panel assembly drawings, working with PLCs (Allen Bradley and/or Siemens), HMIs, and VFD's, implementation and commissioning of engineering design projects.
Typical Responsibilities May Include:
1. Responsible for the design and development of electrical control systems and software programs
2. Design and develop motion control, PLC, and HMI systems for various applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
3. Develop schematics detailing control system configuration and wiring, and design equipment panel layouts and operator consoles on AutoCAD software
Support technical manuals by assisting to create functional description documents for machine lines and specific machine functions
4. Provide technical support to customers, customer service, sales and the project team and technicians when needed
5. Work with testers to perform the system checkout and start-up of the integrated control system
6. Perform engineering priority tasks assigned to be on time and within budget
7. Ensure equipment/machines conform to product and technical specifications
8. Develop bills of materials for electrical designs as well as make updates to reflect any changes
9. Travel may be required for project scope development or to assist in system startups or troubleshooting of equipment as needed
