You will also ensure that electrical equipment meets safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities of an electrical engineer may include:
1. Design: Create new ways to use electrical power to improve or develop products
2. Calculate: Perform detailed calculations to develop standards and specifications for manufacturing, construction, and installation
3. Direct: Oversee the manufacturing, installation, and testing of electrical equipment
4. Inspect: Ensure that electronic equipment, systems, and instruments meet safety standards and regulations
5. Evaluate: Evaluate systems and recommend design modifications or repairs
6. Collaborate: Work with project managers to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and satisfactorily
7. Develop: Create maintenance and testing procedures for electronic equipment and components
8. Present: Present engineering problems and proposed solutions in two-dimensional and three-dimensional drafts using CAD
9. Stay current: Keep up with the latest tools and technologies
