As a Field Service Engineer you will be a technical professional who travels to client sites to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot complex equipment and systems, often acting as the face of the company by directly interacting with customers to ensure their machinery and technology functions optimally through on-site service and technical expertise.

Responsibilities of a Field Service Engineer may include:

1. On-site installation:
Installing new equipment and systems at customer locations, including configuration and setup.
2. Preventative maintenance:
Performing routine inspections and servicing to prevent equipment failures.
3. Troubleshooting and repair:
Diagnosing and resolving technical issues with equipment, performing necessary repairs.
4. Customer interaction:
Answering customer questions, educating them on proper equipment usage, and addressing concerns.
5. Technical support:
Providing remote technical assistance via phone or email when needed.
6. Parts management:
Ordering and managing spare parts inventory for repairs.
7. Service reports:
Documenting service activities, including findings, repairs performed, and customer feedback.
8. Compliance adherence:
Ensuring all work is performed according to safety regulations and company standards.

Required skills for a Field Service Engineer typically include

1. Technical expertise:
Strong understanding of the technical aspects of the equipment or systems they service.
2. Problem-solving skills:
Ability to diagnose complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
3. Customer service skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers effectively.
