Client Profile

Our client, a respected regulatory body, is seeking an experienced Senior Decision Writer to join their team. This is a unique, high-impact writing opportunity for a professional who excels at taking complex information and transforming it into clear, concise, and well-structured written decisions.

The committee makes the decisions. You bring those decisions to life on paper, ensuring they are accurate, accessible and on point.

This opportunity is open to lawyers, law clerks, paralegals with relevant decision-writing experience, particularly within tribunals, regulatory bodies or health law environments.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Draft and finalize written decisions based on committee instructions, deliberations, and meeting notes.
• Synthesize complex legal, regulatory and factual information into clear, concise, and reader-friendly decisions.
• Manage a high-volume workload while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Work effectively within tight timelines and competing priorities.
• Exercise sound judgement when interpreting committee direction and preparing written decisions.

Requirements

• Applications are welcomed from lawyers, law clerks, paralegals with comparable experience.
• Professional experience involving decision writing, legal writing, regulatory writing, or a similar function.
• Experience within a tribunal, regulatory body or health law environment is highly desirable.
• Excellent organizational time-management skills, sound professional judgement, and discretion.
