Salary: $70,000 - $80,000

Our client, a leading Toronto law firm, is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to join its dynamic and fast-paced team. The successful candidate will provide high-level administrative support to professionals within the firms Real Estate and Lending Group while contributing to the efficient delivery of exceptional client service.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare, draft and revise correspondence, agreements and contracts, including basic security documentation;
- Assist with real estate and lending transactions, including the preparation and coordination of closing and related documents;
- Manage client accounts and pre-billing processes;
- Receive and assess instructions, prioritize workflow and manage competing deadlines;
- Open and close files and maintain accurate records;
- Prepare reporting packages and other file-related documentation;
- Provide proactive administrative support to multiple professionals; and
- Undertake additional responsibilities in support of departmental and firm objectives.
Requirements:
- Legal Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution is preferred;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant supporting professionals in Commercial Real Estate and Lending;
- Strong knowledge of accounting, billing and pre-billing procedures;
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail;
- Strong technical skills and the ability to prepare, review and manage complex legal documents and agreements;
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Experience using iManage, Expert Time and other legal technology applications;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to interact professionally with clients, external stakeholders and colleagues at all levels;
- Highly organized, proactive and able to manage competing priorities;
- Ability to adapt to changing demands and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
- Proven ability to support multiple professionals and work collaboratively within a team; and
- Flexibility to accommodate occasional variations in work hours.
