Client Profile:

Our client, a well-established mid-sized law firm located in North York, is seeking an experienced Real Estate Law Clerk to join its growing team. The firm specializes in real estate law and is known for its collaborative culture, commitment to professional development, and inclusive work environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with land acquisitions, dispositions, and financings;
  • Prepare and manage builder financings, including deposit trust agreements and related security documentation;
  • Coordinate and assist with the registration of plans of subdivision and condominium;
  • Handle subdivision closings acting on behalf of builders;
  • Assist with condominium closings acting for builders;
  • Support low-rise and high-rise residential development projects from inception through closing;
  • Prepare real estate agreements and condominium-related documentation;
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Law Clerk diploma from an accredited college or university program;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Real Estate Law Clerk;
  • Extensive experience handling subdivision closings acting for builders;
  • Experience with condominium closings acting for builders is considered an asset;
  • Proficiency with Unity, PCLaw, Teraview, Microsoft Word, Excel, and the MS Office Suite;
  • Experience with LDD software is an asset;
  • Ability to transcribe dictation for the preparation of real estate and condominium documents is an asset;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment;
  • Detail-oriented with a professional and positive attitude.
