Client Profile
Our client, a top-tier Toronto law firm is currently looking for a Plaintiff Litigation Clerk. This firm offers a collaborative, team-oriented environment with mentorship opportunities. The company offers a customizable benefits plan and discretionary bonuses 2x per year.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a full plaintiff litigation caseload from intake to resolution, including Tort, Accident Benefits, and Catastrophic claims
- Draft pleadings, summaries, motions, settlements etc.
- Coordinate examinations for discovery, mediations, pre-trials, and hearings
- Monitor deadlines and limitation periods to ensure compliance
- Draft routine correspondence;
- Prepare medical briefs to various doctors/experts; and
- Additional duties as required.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years Law Clerk experience with Personal Injury Law handling Tort, AB, and CAT matters
- Law Clerk Diploma from a recognized institution;
- Knowledge of legal terminology and sources of legal procedures and statutes;
- Must be familiar with the following software: Filevine, Primafact, Soluno;
- Excellent time management; and
- Excellent organization, verbal, and written communication skills.
