Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage proposal development requests from initiation to submission, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements.
- Act as the point person for complex RFPs, coordinating input from lawyers, CBD team members, finance, pricing, knowledge management, and IT professionals.
- Draft, edit, and tailor persuasive written content, articulating clear value propositions.
- Maintain and update content in the firm’s Foundation content and experience management database.
- Track pitch and proposal activity using Asana, following up on success metrics and client debriefs.
- Collaborate with the Client & Business Development team to ensure proposal-related content is consistently updated across practice descriptions, experience databases, and lawyer bios.
- Support key business development initiatives and potentially expand support to practice groups and industry teams.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Business, Public Relations, Communications, or a related.
- Minimum of 4+ years’ experience in business writing, preferably in legal or professional services.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strategic approach to proposals.
- Critical thinking skills to create compelling client-focused materials.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with lawyers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- High attention to detail and a quick learner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; experience with graphic design software (InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite) is an asset.
- Familiarity with content management software (Foundation) and project management tools (Asana) is a plus.
