Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain lawyers’ calendars, appointments, and conferences;
- Routes or answers routine correspondence and initiates follow-up as required;
- Open/close and maintain files;
- Arrange meetings, conference calls etc.;
- Assist with dockets and client billing;
- Maintain electronic and paper filing system;
- Manage bring-forward system;
- Transcribes legal documents;
- Draft routine correspondence;
- Maintain office files/records in accordance with procedures; and
- Additional duties as required.
Requirements:
- 2+ years Plaintiff Legal Assistant experience;
- Legal Assistant or Law Clerk Diploma from a recognized institution;
- Knowledge of Primafact is a must;
- Knowledge of legal terminology and sources of legal procedures and statutes
- Excellent time management; and
- Excellent organization, verbal, and written communication skills.
