Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the Management Committee to monitor risk management policies and procedures to ensure organizational risks are minimized through effective controls;
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and integrity;

- Responsible for managing all financial aspects of the Firm, including review of GL activity, cash flow monitoring, partners draw and capital accounts, lawyer and partner compensation, and preparation of a variety or reports and analysis;
- Preparation of accurate and timely budgets, financial statements and reports, and ongoing analysis of same;
- Preparation and filing of Partnership Information returns and corporate tax returns;
- Work with external auditors to complete annual audits;
- Provide financial analysis to assist with client RFPs;
- Liaise with the Firm’s bankers and vendors;
- Sit on various internal committees to provide insight from a financial perspective;
- Work with accounting/billing/collection specialists in developing accounting policies and procedures and managing the day-to-day operations of the department;
- Provide leadership and direct the team in a fast-paced efficient work environment;
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements:
- CPA Designation required;
- 10+ years of experience in financial management, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment;
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations;
- Able to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills;
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to operate both strategically and tactically;
- Proficiency in financial software (Prolaw) and Microsoft Office Suite;
- Advanced knowledge of Excel;
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal); and
- Excellent time management, organizational, interpersonal and prioritization skills.
