Duties and Responsibilities:

 

-             Preparing and organizing closing of subdivision lot sales through LawyerDoneDeal;

-             Maintaining two separate LawyerDoneDeal databases, one for Subdivision and one for             Condo (Potls);

-           Preparing various documents in Teraview including Transfers, Parcelization Transfers, Charges, Easements, Notices, Discharges etc.;

-              Organizing and attending to subdivision registrations across the GTA;

-              Preparing documentation for purchase/mortgage of development land;

-              Preparing, amending and sending correspondence and documents;

-              General administrative support for firm lawyers;

-              Handling telephone calls and emails;

-              Administering and entering docketing and billing; and

-              Opening and closing files.

 

 

 

 

Requirements:

 

-              A diploma in a related Legal Administration and/or Law Clerk program;

-              7-10 years of experience in a similar position in a bulk Subdivision or Condo department in a Real Estate Law practice;

-              Extensive experience handling bulk subdivision and POTL closings;

-              Motivated, detail-oriented and committed to superior client service;

-              Proficient in Teraview, and Conveyancer;

-              Advanced knowledge of LawyerDoneDeal;

-              Skilled in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel;

-              Experienced using accounting and docketing software applications (e.g. PCLaw);

-              Efficient in organizing and prioritizing workflow;

-              Excellent written and oral communication skills – the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external contacts including law firms, lenders, municipalities, and surveyors is imperative and;

-              Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capability
