The Opportunity
We're looking for CNC Machinists with milling experience to join a growing precision machining operation supporting the medical device and aerospace industries.
This is a hands-on machining role for someone who knows how to set up and run CNC mills, make offsets and adjustments, troubleshoot problems, and consistently produce quality parts.
You don't need to be a process engineer or someone who spends all day optimizing programs. We need a machinist who understands the machine, can get a job running, and knows what to do when something isn't right.
The operation continues to grow significantly, creating opportunities to take on additional responsibility and advance as your skills develop.
What You'll Work On
The primary equipment is CNC milling equipment, including:
- 3-Axis Vertical Machining Centers
- Horizontal Machining Centers
- 4th Axis milling equipment
Equipment includes:
- Johnford
- Kitamura
- Doosan
- Haas
Materials include:
- Aluminum
- Engineering plastics
- Carbon steels
- Stainless steels
- Other materials used in medical and aerospace manufacturing
What You'll Be Doing
Your day-to-day work will include:
- Setting up CNC milling machines
- Loading and verifying programs
- Installing tooling, fixtures and workholding
- Setting tools and making offsets
- Making process adjustments as needed
- Running production jobs
- Monitoring machine and part quality
- Troubleshooting machining and tooling issues
- Performing in-process inspections
- Reading blueprints and engineering drawings
- Using precision measuring equipment
- Deburring and finishing components
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
The goal is straightforward: get the machine set up, make good parts, and keep production moving.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with solid CNC milling experience who can work independently once trained on the equipment.
You'll ideally have:
- CNC milling experience
- Setup experience
- Ability to read blueprints
- Experience making tool and work offsets
- Understanding of feeds, speeds and tooling
- Precision measurement experience
- Ability to troubleshoot machining issues
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable work history
- Commitment to quality
You don't have to check every box. If you're a strong CNC mill operator who has started taking on setups and wants to continue developing, we'd like to talk with you.
Preferred Experience
- Horizontal machining centers
- 4th Axis machining
- Haas, Doosan, Kitamura or Johnford
- Aerospace or medical manufacturing
- Tight-tolerance machining
- Complex castings
- GD&T
