Job Description

CNC Machine Operator

2nd Shift | 3:00pm – 11:30pm
$20–$23/hr (includes shift premium)
1 Opening
Full-Time | CNC Mills & Lathes

The Opportunity

If you’ve run a CNC machine before and want to build real skills — this is a great next step.

This role is designed for someone with basic CNC experience who’s ready to learn more and grow into a higher-level machinist role over time.

You won’t be expected to know everything on day one — but you will be given the opportunity to learn inspections, improve your machine knowledge, and take on more responsibility as you progress.

The company has been in business for 65+ years, growing from a small shop into a stable, well-established operation.

What You’ll Work On

  • CNC Mills (high-volume production)
  • CNC Lathes (variety of parts depending on need)

You’ll primarily run one machine to start, with opportunity to expand as you learn.

What You’ll Be Doing

Machine Operation

  • Run CNC mills and/or lathes
  • Load materials and monitor production cycles
  • Keep machines running efficiently throughout your shift

Learning & Skill Development

  • Learn how to perform basic inspections
  • Gain exposure to measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
  • Develop understanding of tooling and machine behavior

Daily Responsibilities

  • Maintain part quality and consistency
  • Keep your work area clean and organized
  • Communicate with leads when issues arise

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience operating a CNC machine (mills or lathes)
  • Interest in learning and growing within CNC machining
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Reliable attendance and work ethic

This role is ideal for someone who is motivated to grow, not just run parts.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Entry point into a long-term CNC career path
  • Hands-on training and skill development
  • Opportunity to move into higher-level machinist roles
  • Stable company with 65+ years of growth and consistency
  • Supportive team environment on 2nd shift

Schedule & Overtime

  • 2nd Shift: 3:00pm – 11:30pm
  • Overtime is voluntary
  • Optional Saturdays available

Compensation & Benefits

  • $20–$23/hour (includes shift premium)
  • Benefits start 1st of the month after hire
  • 8 paid holidays + 3 floating holidays
  • 80 hours PTO annually (accrued)

Additional Perks

  • Quarterly Chip Bonus
  • Annual reviews with merit increases
  • Pay increases tied to skill growth

The Bottom Line

If you’ve run a CNC machine and want a chance to learn more, grow your skills, and build a long-term career, this is a strong opportunity to take that next step.
