$33–$35/hour
Auburn, IN | Metal Processing Facility

The Opportunity

We’re hiring a Maintenance Electrician to serve as the primary electrical resource within a metal processing facility.

This is a highly visible role where you’ll be the go-to person for all electrical troubleshooting and support across the plant. If you take pride in diagnosing issues, solving problems, and being the person others rely on — this is a strong opportunity.

The company is locally owned, stable, and known for treating employees well. This is a long-term role where your skillset will be valued and trusted.

Schedule & Pay

  • 1st Shift: 7:00am – 3:00pm
  • $33–$35/hour
  • Some weekend work required to support maintenance outside of production hours
  • Overtime available based on production and project needs

What You’ll Be Doing

This role is primarily focused on electrical troubleshooting and system reliability across the facility, serving as the go-to resource for all electrical needs.

Electrical Responsibilities (Primary Focus)

  • Troubleshoot and repair 480V, 3-phase electrical systems
  • Diagnose issues with motors, power distribution, drives, and control systems
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Install and maintain wiring, conduit, and electrical components
  • Troubleshoot and support PLC systems (Allen-Bradley and Siemens)
  • Identify root causes of failures and implement long-term solutions

Within the electrical scope of the role:

  • The majority of time is spent troubleshooting and repair
  • A smaller portion is dedicated to special projects, upgrades, and improvements

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support mechanical maintenance and equipment reliability when needed
  • Assist with general troubleshooting to keep production running
  • Participate in equipment installs and process improvements
  • Perform maintenance work during planned downtime, including occasional weekends

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience with industrial electrical systems (480V, 3-phase)
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC systems (Allen-Bradley or Siemens required — both preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
  • Proven troubleshooting ability — able to work through issues independently
  • Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment (5+ years preferred)
  • Electrical license or ability to meet requirements

Note: Experience with one PLC platform is acceptable — training will be provided on the other.

Work Environment

  • Industrial metal processing environment
  • Work may involve ladders, equipment access, and physical activity
  • Exposure to typical plant conditions including noise and moving equipment

Benefits

  • Very affordable health, dental, and vision insurance with strong coverage
  • Life insurance fully paid by the employer
  • Stable company with long-term employees

Why This Company Stands Out

  • Locally owned with strong financial backing
  • Long-term stability and consistent work
  • Leadership that values skilled trades and trusts their expertise
  • Opportunity to take ownership of electrical systems within the facility

This is an ideal role for an electrician who wants to be the go-to expert, solve complex problems, and have real ownership over their work.
